Other than these charges, passengers have to bear the lunch and tea/coffee charges of the person accompanying the Horse or Doli. Passengers are advised to carry precautionary medicines with them. Manali - Rohtang Road Snow Point, 20 - 110 Kms. By special taxies or jeeps.
We leave for snow point along the Rohtang road. Tour members must carry warm clothes like hand gloves, muffler, sweater, shawl, socks & sports shoes etc. Enroute overcoats and shoes are available on hire. To give you more time at Snow point and to avoid traffic jams of heavy vehicles on Rohtang road, we provide special Jeeps for Rohtang pass. Jeeps will generally take you near to the Snow point, for which you do not have to walk much. Those who generally suffer at an altitude of 10,000 to 14,000 feet, due to extreme cold, should carry related medicines. Please note that Rohtang Pass (altitude 3940 mts.) is actually 51 kms. far from Manali, due to heavy snow covering the road, this pass is not accessible almost for 8 months.

We visit 'The Shey', 15 kms. southeast which is an old summer palace of the kings of Ladakh, built about 560 years ago by sengge Namgyal's son, Deldon. Though in ruins now, this palace has a 12 meters high, seated Buddha image. There after we proceed towards the Thikshey Gompa, 17 kms. from Leh, is Ladakh's most picturesque and architecturally impressive 15th century monastery situated on the hill top. Afterwards we visit the Hemis Gompa-one of the most important and large Gompas in Ladakh, is 45 kms. from Leh. It is famous for its Hemis festival falls in June /July.

Today we travel through the world's highest motorable road on the way to Khardungla Pass (5606 mtrs.). Due to snow this may remain closed sometimes. By evening we return to the hotel.

In the morning we will visit Shanti Stupa-peace pagoda, 3 kms. away, erected by the 'Peace seat' of the Japanese Buddhists and inaugurated by Dalai Lama in 1983. Then we visit Ladakh Palace, built by Namgyal, is now deserted and badly damaged by last century Kashmir-Ladakh war, looks like a miniature version of the Potala Palace in Lhasa-Tibet. The roof of the Palace offers superb view of old town and Zanskar Mountains. After lunch we visit Spituk Gompa temple (Gokhang), which is about 1,000 years old. This temple is at distance of temple is at distance of 10 kms. from Leh. We must carry woolen clothes like socks, muffler, hand gloves, sweater, shawl etc. We also suggest putting on sports or hunter shoes, as they are very convenient in this weather.

In the morning we proceed to Leh airport, to board our flight for New Delhi. On arrival at New Delhi free time for shopping.

On arrival at Trichy we visit the largest temple of Lord Vishnu at Shrirangam, situated on a 600-acres island between the rivers Kaveri and Kollidam. Then we proceed to Thanjavur.
